It’s November 5, 2008

It’s over. And I am at a loss for words. Both ecstatic, and saddened.

Riding to work this morning, along West Street through West Oakland, the air had that lovely early autumn chill to it, there were leaves on the ground, little kids were off to school. And, all in all, the world hadn’t changed that much. Now I’m at the office. And I need to get ready for class later this afternoon, and look through my inbox for all the other things that have piled up over the weekend.

It’s over. And life goes on.

Once all this processes, expect more.

It’s over. And now the real work begins.

  1. I’m extremely saddened by that as well. Although I have heard that there may be a very, VERY slim chance that it could still be struck down once the uncounted votes are figured in. We’ll see.

Yes, we do have a lot of work to do to repair things. I just hope we can get over being so angry at each other and work together.
