non sequitur

This is sure to be making the rounds of the Buddhist Interwebs today. Thought I’d try to be ahead of the curve for a change.

I like the “thought of the day” very much. But the In and Out boxes (“existence” and “non existence”) remind me more of Jean-Paul Sartre than they do of Dogen. Ah well.

  1. I thought the “existence” and “non-existence” boxes were referring to the Middle Way between substantialism (“existence”) and nihlism (“non-existence”). But I can see how the choice of words might conjure up connections with French existentialism too. ^.^
